Dare to Dream was founded in 2013 and is non-profit organisation registered under Belgian law. Between 2014 and 2018, the organisation reached over 2,000 girls with six inspirational events across four countries. In 2017, Dare to Dream joined forces with The Leadership Institute for Girls in South Africa.

Sabine, co-foundation director, has Belgian roots and an African soul. She partners with people and organizations in journeys of personal and professional change. Sabine founded Dare to Dream in 2013 based on the belief that every girl on earth deserves the chance to make her dreams come true. Her motto with the project? "If you get, give. If you learn, teach."

Petunia, other co-foundation director, is an publicist author and professional coffee drinker. She founded the Leadership Institute for Girls in 2014 to offer girls in rural areas throughout South Africa access to a 'Big Sister' mentor network. Since its inception, over 50 mentors have mentored more than 500 high-school students across South Africa.
